Week Four 6/30 to 7/6

Holy fuck balls, I’m exhausted.

Now that 2 Gents is open we’ve began to rehearse Hamlet during the day. So, I’m in rehearsal for Hamlet all day and performing The Two Gentlemen of Verona at night.

I’M POOPED!

This week I thought the 4th of July was going to suck hard nuts because of the aforementioned: practice all day, acting all night. But it didn’t.

Actually, it was great fun. My fellow comedic servant, colleague, and friend Tim, invited Andy, Dane, and myself to his place for early morning Bloody Marys and his neighborhood’s 4th of July parade.

That morning I said, “Okay one Bloody Mary, one picture and we’re out.”

Next thing I know I’m fucken schwasted, it’s 10:30am, and I’m surrounded by a bunch of scary white children.

I don’t remember how I got home, but I got home and slept it off before a 6 hour rehearsal. After practice and before the performance a few of us agreed to cook-out, including the director and his family. It was fun, I ate so much greasy “American Food,” that I thru up at intermission. Aww, good times.

On Saturday, we had over 300 people in the audience. It was a fantastic show.

After the show we had a cast party at one of my fellow cast mates home.  His house was amazing. It was huge and beautiful, with not one, but two guest rooms, a pool and a Jacuzzi.

We partied till 5 in the morning and I ended up using one of those fabulous guest rooms.

I also ended up using one of their swim suites, which was very small and very very tight.

I know what you’re thinking, “Gosh, I wish there was a close up of that”
Well here you go:

The host and his partner had great danes. I have never seen one before and when I laid eyes on “Thor” I was....scared.  I said, “Oh, my lord there’s a HORSE in your house.”

This is Thor attacking Tim

This big bitch was taller than me!

In closing, here is another review I got:
“Ernie Gonzalez as Speed has a huggable stage presence and garners many laughs with his matter-of-fact delivery,”
from The Cleveland Scene

to add to last week:
"As Valentine, Andy Nagraj had a solid, imperturbable presence, in comical contrast to his stage-stealing servant, Speed (Ernie Gonzalez)"
from the Akron Beacon Journal

PS Go see WALL-E, it’s FINDING NEMO good.

Lastly, till next week, a HUGE shout out to my new friend Tony E. who says, "Love the blog Mate, greetings from down under"

I have to love a guy who can talk about alcohol, Shakespeare and the Declaration of Independence, then proudly show off his package, all in one concise blog post.
